去年，我的妈妈给我买了一只乌龟，我只要一碰它，它就把它的头缩到乌龟壳里去了，所以，我就给它取了一个名字叫：“胆小龟。”这只胆小龟太可爱了，背上滑滑的，摸起来真舒服，它的背上长着一层厚厚的绿色的盔甲，肚子上也有一层盔甲，不过是白色的而已。它还长着一个小小的脑袋瓜子，不长不短的腿和一根又细又长的尾巴，好逗人喜欢。
它吃食物的时候就更有趣了，当我把龟饲料放到盆里时，它就会伸出长长的脑袋，东瞧瞧，西望望，看到没有人之后，才猛地一下吃了一口饲料，它的食量非常小，一次只吃一两颗饲料，吃完后，就趴在大石头上开始休息了。
当它在大石头上休息时，我常常把它的壳拿着，倒放在地上，我就藏倒门背后，只露我的眼睛，过了一会儿，它伸出脑袋，左瞧瞧，右看看，确定没有人之后，就开始四脚乱踢，想让自己翻过来，每当这时，龟壳就像摇摇木马一样大摇大晃，眼看就要翻过来了，又功亏一篑，每看到这样的情形，我就会笑地上气不接下气，它听到我的大笑声，又把头缩进了壳里，然后我就把它放回了水里。
